OUR SERVICES

Each report issued by IGTLRC Offices are concluded on the basis of thorough expert analysis of stone/jewellery submitted for testing, as per the scientific tests performed with Gemmological equipment. IGTRC provides three primary and nine secondary testing services.

Gemstone Identification

For Gemstone identification, stone can be submitted in the form of cut and polished, rough, mounted in jewellery, carving, and beads (loose or in string). This category is further divided in two categories

Diamond Jewellery Grading

Diamond jewellery grading report is issued for diamonds mounted in jewellery (ear tops, bangles, pendant etc). Before issuing diamond jewellery grading report, all diamonds are screened for the possibility of synthetic diamond.

Diamond Screening

Screening of colorless to near-colorless diamonds shall be done and result is reported as per the analysis precisely by the instrument ‘Synthdetect’ and ‘Qcheck’ only. No manual intervention is permitted in the screening of diamonds.

01. GEMSTONE IDENTIFICATION

Single Stone identification report is issued for single stone. Detected treatments / enhancements are routinely mentioned on the report irrespective to customers demand.

Packet lot identification report is issued for minimum 5 stones of same colour. Re-verification facility is not provided in this testing category. Detected treatments / enhancements are routinely mentioned on the report.

02. DIAMOND JEWELRY GRADING

In case, Jewellery is found to have possibility of synthetic diamond, report is not issued for that jewellery and customer is asked to change the doubtful diamonds.

Although all diamonds are screened for the possibility of synthetic Diamond, but jewellery grading report is not identification report for the diamonds.

Jewellery studded with clarity enhanced diamonds are not graded and so no grading report is issued for the same, customer is asked to change the doubtful diamonds to get them graded.

03. DIAMOND SCREENING

Loose Diamonds reports are prepared and presented in accordance with international standards.

Jewellery can be analyzed without removing stones from fixtures. We accept jewellery from small pendants to full sets.

1.) Identification of and reporting for gemstones

2.) Detection of gemstones treatments including heat, oil, and dye

Often times, gemstones are treated or altered in an attempt to appear higher quality than they really are. IGTLRC understands this and includes enhancement, detection techniques as part of our testing. IGTLRC delivers opinions on issues including heating treatments, surface diffusion of sapphires and other varieties of corundums, emerald oiling, glass fillings of rubies, jade coating and dying, and more. 3.) Diamond Certification

IGTLRC accurately certifies diamonds for the 4Cs – Colour, Clarity, Cut & Carat Weight. Colour grading is done against GIA Certified Master Diamonds. Mounted diamond jewellery can also be certified and issued with a report. These gradings will be in the form of mounting permits to prevent damage to the jewellery while grading takes place. 4.) Jewellery reports for coloured stones

IGTLRC issues reports on all coloured stones and precious & semi precious gems as well. By having experienced gemologists using high tech testing techniques and advanced equipment IGTLRC is able to offer accurate reports to customers. 5.) Co-branded reports and certifications

6.) On-site lab service for bulk bookings
